When it was all said and done, and the final curtain dropped, the end truly was bittersweet.
For thirteen weeks, The Platform was our Sunday night living room, and there was no better way to spend Sunday nights, than with the performers.
It’s a labor of love, and a firm commitment to seeing the core principles of The Platform be realized. What else would drive someone to program 45 artists in 13 weeks, promote a difficult night to draw an audience, and give everything collected to charity?
The Platform cross-pollinated audiences, and helped people discover talent residing in their own backyard. I can’t count the number of times that someone whispered, “He’s good, or she’s good”, to me during a set.
So, we closed the books on this season -what’s next for The Platform?
